The ‘400 direct’ spectrometer, optimised for the detection of carbon-13, is used in the form of slots reserved for each laboratory.
The ‘400 inverse’ spectrometer, optimised for proton detection, is used on an open access basis. Long experiments (in particular two-dimensional heteronuclear experiments lasting more than 15 minutes) are automatically run at night (6pm-8am).
Before accessing any of the equipment on the NMR facility, each user must be trained in its use by a facility supervisor. The user charters is available here.
